Monica Olsen is the founder, spokesperson and face of SKIN by Monica Olsen®. Monica began her career as a model at age 14 when she was discovered by a scout at a local charity fashion event. A few years later, determined to pursue her dream, she moved to New York City where her career as model Monica Olsen was taken to a whole new level. Monica caught the eye of world-famous photographer Peter Beard at a South Hampton nightclub. With her newfound confidence, she signed with one of NYC’s top modeling agencies, and almost overnight was propelled into the world of high fashion and runway life. Monica jetted between NYC and Milan, and even lived briefly in Madrid. Standing tall at 5’11, this voluptuous and sultry brunette with striking features and a captivating presence has been featured in countless magazine layouts and covers in the US, Canada and Europe. Olsen has also made appearances on a number of North American talk and radio shows, as well as a number of European talk shows and game shows. Monica's professionalism, worldliness and striking beauty have enabled her to land national and international ad campaigns, commercials, and billboards, successfully representing brands as a product spokesperson and model. In 2001, Monica appeared on a giant billboard in New York Times Square area.

As an actress, Monica Olsen appeared in the star-studded comedy The Hot Chick, alongside Rachel McAdams, Rob Schneider and Adam Sandler. She also shot a commercial for Formula1 (Monte Carlo) that aired throughout Europe. In 2003, after residing in Los Angeles for only one year, she was voted Fresh Face of 2003. A graduate of the NY film Academy, Monica is very passionate about film and theatre. Besides leaving her mark in the beauty and fashion world as a model and entrepreneur Monica is wasting no time to leave her mark in the film world. 2009 will mark Monica’s first major debut and knowing Monica whatever she sets her mind to undoubtedly she achieves with a great deal of excellence and poise. 2008 saw the launch her new website www.monicaolsen.com, several new ad campaigns, the launch of her new skin care line into retail, however as always with Monica the future promises to be even more exciting. 2009 will see the release of her new book, her swimsuit calendar, her new natural fragrance and body powder as well as other exciting endeavors that only this exceptionally talented and beautiful young mother of 2 can deliver.

Today Monica lives in Southern California with her loving husband, two baby girls and step daughter. Her beautiful girls Cienna - Joleigh and Vendela - Ciel ages 2 and 3 already began following in their mother’s footsteps and are featured as the faces of her new baby skin care line.

Monica is an avid skier, a yoga and pilates devotee, pet lover and loving mom. In her limited spare time Monica loves to hang out with her daughters, and loves to read and paint. She also loves to take dance lessons whenever possible. She has an affinity for languages and art. Monica speaks seven languages namely French and Russian. Her goal is to speak up to 10 languages fluently. One thing is sure, behind those mysterious eyes lies a determination and confidence that is unprecedented - there isn't a challenge too great for this shining star.

THE STORY BEHIND SKIN

Three years ago while pregnant with her first daughter, Monica began to seek-out skin care products that were organically and environmentally pure. Unable to find products that met her high standards, she decided to create her own. Even though it began as a brand specifically designed for baby’s delicate skin, Monica (who has often been approached and asked how she takes care of her skin and believes everyone should treat their skin as if it were baby’s skin) finally decided to create her own signature line. The secret behind her flawless complexion is now available for men, women, and baby. In 2008, The Skin by Monica line hit retail stores in North America. Her line launched at the very exclusive and chic Murale® stores in Canada and is now going into 110 different locations nationwide with Shoppers Drug Mart and Beauty Boutiques. In 2009, her line will be expanding into the UK, Dubai, Australia among other markets.
